Stamped Envelope – Red (Set of 5)

Giving money as a gift has been a long-standing tradition, particularly in Asian culture. It is often done to express affection and bestow blessings by elders, or to show respect at religious places.

In Tibetan Buddhist culture, the colour red is a reminder of Buddha’s teachings and the robes of a monk. Our red-stamped envelopes read mendal tendod ghor phul in the dru-tsa script of the Tibetan writing system. These envelopes can be used to offer money to monks and higher lamas, monasteries, temples or for any other place of worship, religious ceremony and prayers.
